Studio album. The UK CD was released on Virgin in 1985, but for some reason the USA release didn't appear until December 1988 (Virgin, catalogue no. 7-90933-2). Reissued in 1995, remastered and with original artwork (pictured above), as part of the 'Definitive Edition' series of CDs (13 in total, all of the albums released by Virgin between this one and 'Hyperborea', i.e. between 1974 and 1984, except 'Heartbreakers', 'Risky Business' and 'Pergamon'). Tangerine Dream's biggest commercial success to date, this album reached number 15 in the British album charts in 1974, mainly due to airplay by the British Radio 1 DJ John Peel. |
